Parque Cultural Hidalguense in Pachuca, Hidalgo, is one of Mexico’s most iconic cultural and recreational complexes. Its most distinctive feature is the monumental pedestrian mural Homenaje a la Mujer del Mundo, conceived by renowned Hidalgo-born artist Byron Gálvez, who also developed the park’s master plan. Considered the largest pedestrian mural in the world, this monumental work measures approximately 1,312 feet long by 262 feet wide, covering nearly 344,500 square feet. It is composed of approximately 7 million mosaic pieces, distributed across 12 different sizes, 45 colors, and 16 modules, forming 2,080 abstract figures inspired by femininity, motherhood, and the diversity of women around the world. The overall coordination of the project, along with the custom development, fabrication, and installation of the mosaics, was carried out by Intercorp.
